{"id":6151,"date":"2026-02-02T09:19:40","date_gmt":"2026-02-02T09:19:40","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.voodoo.business\/blog\/?p=6151"},"modified":"2026-02-03T08:12:48","modified_gmt":"2026-02-03T08:12:48","slug":"roof-screed-job","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.voodoo.business\/blog\/2026\/02\/02\/roof-screed-job\/","title":{"rendered":"Roof screed job"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>The following all applies to a flat root cement slab that has slight ponding<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You will need to apply the cement in 2 phases, 1- the slurry 2- the concrete mix<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>When i say by volume, what is meant is that 1 cup of cement gets x cups of aggregate, no weight involved<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">1- The bonding slurry<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>As thin as you can provided it is &#8220;Continuous&#8221; and &#8220;Worked into the surface&#8221;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>thicker is bad not good<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The concrete layer needs to be added IMMEDIATELY after applying the slurry, within lets say 10 minutes in warm weather<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>consistency should be thicker than emulsion paint<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">2- The concrete mix<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The bare minimum height, for something that is not a foot path, and is not expected to hold any weight is 2.5CM !
